This kitchen was functional, but far from fantastic. Dark countertops felt like a heavy anchor weighing down the room, while a strip of backsplash protected only a few inches of space before giving way to white walls. Our team replaced the drab countertops, backsplash, and sink with more modern options to breathe new life into this dated kitchen.

Our team started by removing the old, dark counters with King Ivory engineered stone. This gorgeous, eco-friendly engineered stone has a scratch- and stain-resistant, nonporous surface, making it a great choice for kitchens. It’s an extremely low-maintenance piece that doesn’t need special care or treatments to remain beautiful for years to come.
A backsplash was necessary to create enough contrast in the room and properly protect the walls between the counters and upper cabinets. Fine Lines Sardinia was dark enough to pop while still complementing some of the brown and beige tones used throughout the room.
Finally, we installed an enlarged double sink to increase prep and clean up capacity. A dark color was the perfect choice to bring out the backsplash and tie the space together, creating a cohesive kitchen this family will love for years to come!
