Tips To Get Ready For Back to School

- Create a Centralized Family Calendar – Have all members of your family include information about their schedules in this one calendar. Get in the habit of checking it weekly and it can be a helpful one-stop shop for family time management.
- Before you shop, set the family’s expectations – Develop a clothing needs list for each child. Check for possible hand-me-downs from older siblings as you make your list. If you discuss the needs list and the family budget with your children before you shop, you’ll avoid in-the-store tantrums. For schools supplies, ask the school for classroom supply lists before shopping for school supplies.
- Get into the Routine – Plan out your family’s meals at the beginning of each week and make school lunches the night before. Planning out your meals in advance can create less stress and helps you manage the time needed to prepare those meals.
