Granite Transformations Introduces the Trascenda™ Collection

Last Updated on September 20, 2019

What’s old is new again! Granite Transformations introduces Trascenda™ – our newest collection that reveals the ultimate expression of nature, art, and the human mind.

Trascenda™ encompasses three distinct collections: “Classic,” “Remastered” and “Elements of Light.” These collections appeal to both Old World style and traditional chic. With the same versatility of our other lines, savvy homeowners can expand their imaginations with these elegant collections in the design not only in traditional parts of the home (like countertops, backsplashes and oven surrounds), but in unexpected places (like waterfall ends, feature walls, shower liners, bathroom panels and flooring, plus so many more).

What makes our Trascenda™ Collection unique is the exclusive process of permanently embedding a pattern into the stone by the use of high heat and pressure. We pigment all the organic materials in the slab (such as resin, granite, quartz, porcelain and glass), while retaining all of the physical properties in the host material. We only use organic, water-based dyes and recyclable materials, which qualifies this technique as being eco-friendly. The result is a timeless product that can withstand heat, impact, scratches and stains – while also remaining chemical-resistant and non-absorbent.

Classic

Statuario

Reminiscent of the world’s favorite marble, Statuario recaptures the essence of this endangered classic marble, sparking the connection between past and future.

Pietra del Cardoso

Pietra del Cardoso is named after the site where men played the traditional game of Street Bocce on an asphalt street on Easter Sunday. We remastered this color by keeping the unique blue hue and adding veins to represent the routes taken by the many bocce balls that were played on the street over the centuries.

Calacatta

This marble is a favorite among architects and designers and is a lighter version of Statuario, with softer and gentler tones. It was used for the construction of the United Nations Building in New York, where it was crowned: “the marble of the people.”

Carrara

Carrara marble has been quarried for more than 2,000 years, making it one of the oldest marbles used in our history. Michelangelo used Carrara marble for his major works. We selected this classic marble for its history, which is engraved in Italian heritage and in several fine arts pieces displayed throughout the world.

Elements of Light

This collection is inspired by light, colors and objects found at our nineteenth century Orsoni furnace in Venice. It brings an antique charm to your surfaces in a modern and unique way.

Portland White

The floor of the entrance to the Orsoni furnace in Venice is made from natural, vintage cement. It is as old and beautiful as the cement associated with the island of Portland. This color has a rich history, and it is derived from mixing stones from the island of Portland with lime and sand. This stunning product is available in lighter and darker tones and brings a unique, modern flair to any environment.
