It’s that time of year again!
Are you getting ready for a full day (or weekend, for many of us) of entertaining family for the holidays? Here are some of our favorite DIY decorating ideas for Thanksgiving that are easy and beautiful.
1 – Mood Lighting
Fill some hurricane vases with corn kernels, acorns, chestnuts, cranberries, or your favorite Thanksgiving item that won’t melt if touched by hot wax. Place a coaster between the candle and the filler items and then use a small piece of twine to wrap your candles with autumn leaves. This also works well with mason jars and tea candles or white wine bottles and long skinny candles.
Another idea is to to use twine to wrap your candles with cinnamon sticks.

2 – Paint your pumpkins.
Who says pumpkins have to be orange? Painting pumpkins can be an easy way to do something new with this classic centerpiece. Wrap with branches or write your favorite message across the front. You can even use a glue pen and glitter to make the text pop even more.

Take the glue pen one step further and put a stripe around your pumpkin then roll it across some parchment paper covered with your favorite seeds.

3 – Get creative with your wreaths.
Take a foam circle and yarn, wrap around the foam and use hot glue to secure the edge of the yarn in place. For the flower buds, simply take different-sized strips of felt and roll them up.

4. Don’t let your wine bottles go to waste.
Spray paint your wine bottles, use spray-on glue on the top half with a paper towel to cover the lower portion, cover with glitter, and then wrap with twine.

Don’t forget about your corks either. They can be a great vase filler. To make it extra memorable, save the cork every time you drink a bottle and use a sharpie to write the date and event on it.
