Setting the “Mood” for Your Ultimate Bathroom Retreat

Mood boards are the ideal tool to gather your design inspiration all in one place. They give you the freedom to design your dream space, switch things up, give it a tweak, and even scrap it and start all over if you wish. (Hence, the term “mood” board.) You may have even heard them referred to as “storyboards” And who doesn’t have a story—or two—to tell?

This month, Granite and TREND Transformations has designed the ultimate mood board to tell the story around one of our most popular bathroom designs. It has all the elements of a dream bathroom complemented by the style of some of today’s most sought-after looks. Get ready to be inspired!

A spa-like experience

Moods can change by the minute. So, why not have the best of both worlds when the mood strikes you? Some days, soaking in a spa-tub is just what you need to soothe the stresses of the day away. On other days, you’re craving the convenience of a walk-in shower and the relaxing oasis of hot water cascading down your back.

But what about the beauty of it all? After all, that’s where the storyboard begins. Here’s how we pulled the look together to create a spa-like bathroom that will suit your any mood:

Tub surround

We chose quartz for the tub surround in the popular shade of Pietra Serena. This architectural favorite is part of our etherium^® By E-Stone line of engineered stone, and is a tribute to the sandstone that was used to build the architectural wonders during the Renaissance era in Florence, Italy. Now, that’s a story for you! It is composed of a variety of the finest grains with beige, white, and gray tones, which give a refined look to this contemporary bathroom renovation.

Mosaic tile shower accent

Who doesn’t  love diamonds? Imagine being surrounded by the sparkle and beauty of our gorgeous Metropolis Diamond mosaic as you enjoy your shower? This stunning mosaic is a tribute to the world’s most precious gemstone—the diamond—and has become one of our most versatile designs, as it adds sophistication to some of today’s most beautiful renovations. It is made from hand cut Karma glass and assembled in a repetitive, irregular pattern.

Classic Cabinetry

With the timeless feel of the European-inspired quartz tub surround and the gorgeous diamond-like sparkle of the mosaic tile, we didn’t have to look too far for the perfect cabinetry to pull the look together.
